A total of 14 states have passed Seizure Safe School legislation to help protect children who live with epilepsy. The five key components of the bill:
- Seizure recognition and first aid training for educators
- Ensure a Seizure Action Plan is included in students’ files
- Medication administration
- Seizure recognition and first aid education for students
- Good Samaritan clause
