Safe Schools for Children with Epilepsy

A total of 14 states have passed Seizure Safe School legislation to help protect children who live with epilepsy. The five key components of the bill:

  • Seizure recognition and first aid training for educators
  • Ensure a Seizure Action Plan is included in students’ files
  • Medication administration
  • Seizure recognition and first aid education for students
  • Good Samaritan clause
